Steins;Gate fans in Japan will soon be able to toast to the anime‘s 15th anniversary with a collection of premium sake inspired by some of the series’ most beloved characters.

Japanese sake brand HINEMOS has partnered with the sci-fi classic to release four original bottles based on Future Gadget Laboratory members Rintaro Okabe, Kurisu Makise, Mayuri Shiina, and Suzuha Amane.

Each alcoholic beverage also features a distinct flavour that has been created to reflect the character’s personality, allowing fans to find out what a mad scientist would taste like (and it’s not microwaved bananas!)

Kicking things off is Okabe’s bottle, which is a premium Japanese sake (13% Junmai Daiginjo) that has a refined fruity flavor that the brewer says is befitting of the man who will open the path to the future.

Meanwhile, Mayuri’s sake is much more gentle on the palate and is only 6% alcohol. The brewers say that drinking this sake has a “soothing flavour created from pure feelings” and fills the drinker with warmth and comfort. It’s exactly the kind of drink you need after jumping between worldlines.

Suzuha’s bottle is a 10% sparkling sake that has hints of citrus notes and a crisp finish inspired by the time-travelling warrior known for her agility.

Rounding out the Steins;Gate sake shelf is Kurisu, who gets an 8% red sake that combines sharp acidity with a delicate sweetness. This one looks particularly striking given the bottle has a reddish color that makes her profile’s signature hair really stand out.

The brewers have also printed each character’s illustration directly onto the glass so the artwork won’t wash off. This means fans can display the bottles next to their other anime merch, or even take sips of sake between gaming sessions (we won’t judge you).

So, how much does it all cost? Well, the entire four-bottle set costs ¥23,100 (around $141), and each bottle costs ¥6,600 (around $40). Pre-orders for the Steins;Gate Divergence Brew collection open on July 28 through the HINEMOS website, with Japan shipments expected to begin in early October 2026.

Steins;Gate isn’t the only anime to get an alcohol collab, as Umamusume went viral after it released horse-girl-themed wine and vodka lemon sour.
